About Us

My name is John J. McCave. I think of myself as a disciple of Jesus Christ, a student of the bible.

I have been privileged to serve as a minister of the Gospel for 32 years. I presently serve as Pastor of Christian Outreach Fellowships, which is a church of home bible studies or fellowships, mostly located on Long Island, New York and the surrounding area.

My purpose for this website is to help you learn the scriptures. I realize that you will most likely not be able to attend our services although you are always welcome to any of our fellowships and meetings.

I simply want to teach you God’s wonderful Word and give you some helpful tools to facilitate that end. I know you are curious to know what religious persuasion is reflected in my teachings. I can honestly say that what I teach does not reflect any one denominational creed or systematic theology. I personally disdain denominational distinctions and all forms of sectarianism.

My teachings and beliefs are from my personal study of God’s Holy Word. I offer them to you with the charge that you apply “The Berean Test” (Acts 17:11) as you study the classes presented.

I have learned much from wonderful God-fearing men and women of all backgrounds and denominational beliefs, but I owe everything to the spirit of God within me for opening my eyes to see the truth of His Holy Word.
